Black Puffer Jacket for Men and Women, Stand Collar

This black puffer jacket is a unisex quilted winter jacket for men and women with 250 GSM wadding, a 210 GSM lining and a stand collar, sold by Global Hub in Rawalpindi. It is black all over: shell, collar, zip and cuffs. With no contrast panel it is the easiest of the four colours to wear, over jeans, chinos, a shalwar kameez or a kurta on a cold evening.

How does this black puffer jacket fit?

Sizes follow standard men’s sizing, so women should go by the chest figure rather than their usual size. Choose the size you normally wear in a jacket, then check the chest figure below against a jacket you already own. The quilting adds some bulk, so if you plan to wear a thick hoodie underneath, compare the chest with that in mind.

Fabric and construction

The shell is a smooth, close-woven quilting fabric, sold in Pakistan as bubble fabric, stitched in horizontal channels on the body and sleeves. Inside each channel is a 250 GSM wadding layer, and the whole black puffer jacket is lined with a 210 GSM lining, so nothing scratches at the neck or wrists. It closes with a full-length front zip that runs up into the stand collar. There are two zipped hand pockets at the front, and the cuffs are elasticated to keep the sleeves in place.

How it wears in Pakistani weather

This is a winter jacket for November to February in Punjab and the capital. Wear it over a t-shirt on a mild November evening and over a sweatshirt or hoodie in January. Black hides everyday marks better than the lighter colours, which matters on a jacket that gets worn daily from December to February. It is not built for snow or heavy rain, so treat it as an everyday city jacket rather than mountain gear.
