Hooded Training Jacket, Full Zip with Lined Hood, S to 5XS

The hood is why this one gets worn. A jacket without one comes off the moment you step outside and gets carried the rest of the way. This hooded training jacket has the hood lined in the contrast colour with matching flat drawcords, a full length zip, two zipped side pockets, ribbed cuffs and hem, a chest logo and a vertical Tibhar print running down the left sleeve. Sizes run from S to 5XS, senior through junior.

Hooded training jacket sizes, measured not guessed

Cut on a European block, which sits closer to the body than Pakistani sizing carrying the same letter. Work from the measurements. Chest is taken across the closed jacket underarm to underarm and doubled. Length runs from the high shoulder point to the hem and does not include the hood.

Add two to three inches over your own chest measurement for room over a training shirt. The three smallest are junior grades, given as measurements rather than age bands because players of the same age vary enormously. Between two sizes, take the larger.

Drawcord note, please read

The hood has a drawcord. Cords in the hood and neck area of children’s clothing carry a recognised entanglement risk and several markets restrict them on garments for younger children. We would rather tell you than not. If you want the cord removed before dispatch, say so when you order and we will remove it at no charge. It takes seconds and the hood works exactly the same.

Where the hood earns its place

Squash and padel courts run cold between games and both leave you soaked, which is exactly when a hood is worth having. The same holds for badminton, table tennis and tennis, for cricket practice on a cold morning, and for the walk home after a gym session. Off court it works as an ordinary zip layer, which is more than most kit can claim. Cut for men and boys, and the smaller sizes suit women wanting more body length than a standard women’s hoodie gives.

Fabric and care

A smooth technical knit, flat on both faces with no brushed pile inside, with the hood lined in a lighter open structure fabric so it does not sit heavy on the neck. Light rather than bulky, which suits a garment that spends half its life in a kit bag, That is what makes it a year-round layer rather than a winter-only one, light enough to pull on after training in an air-conditioned hall in June and warm enough over a shirt in January.. Cold machine wash inside out with the zip fully closed so the teeth catch nothing else in the drum. No bleach, no softener, no tumble dryer. Hang to dry and keep the iron off the sleeve print.
