Which sports this polo suits

It was built for table tennis, where the raglan sleeve matters because there is no shoulder seam to drag when the arm rotates through a forehand loop. That same construction is what makes it work across the racket sports generally. It is well suited to badminton, padel, squash, tennis and pickleball, all of which involve repeated overhead and cross-body reach that a set-in sleeve restricts. It also works for cricket practice sessions and for gym training, where a collar is preferred over a round neck. It is not intended for football, hockey or any contact sport, and a mesh knit will not survive that use.

Measurements

Every figure below was taken with a tape off the two actual garments in stock, not copied from a printed chart. Chest is measured flat across the shirt one inch below the armhole, then doubled to give the full circumference. Length runs from the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the hem. Measured this way the Medium carries more room through the chest than the supplied chart suggests, so order your usual size rather than sizing up.

Fabric and construction

The mesh on this sports polo shirt is a knitted polyester with an open structure you can see against the light, which is why it feels lighter in the hand than a cotton piqué of the same thickness. The red side panels are cut as separate pieces and stitched in rather than printed on, so the colour cannot crack or peel with wear. The collar is ribbed and holds its shape after washing. Wash cold and inside out, line dry in shade, and keep the iron off the printed chest logo. Do not use fabric softener on polyester, it coats the fibre and stiffens the mesh.
